The Italian CSIT member organization AICS successfully handled a major event in mid-February with the Roller Skating Championships with around 1,500 participants and showed that it is possible to handle large events despite the current Corona pandemic. “YES – YOU CAN DO SPORT” without problems and infections. AICS is also the operator and staging partner for the Commune of Cervia, the host of the CSIT World Sports Games and this event was a perfect opportunity to test CSIT’s Covid 19 – Concept for June under real conditions. There were strictest Corona measures in close coordination with the local authorities, five official tests – but not a single Corona infection!!! The Championships were a very successful first test run in terms of sport and organization for the 7th CSIT World Sports Games, which will take place in Emilia Romagna from 1 to 6 June 2021.
